Product introduction

 

Zeolite molecular sieve is a aluminosiliate with uniform pores. These pore diameters are similar in size to small molecules. Thus molecules with diameter less than the pore size can enter molecular sieve and be adsorbed, while molecules with diameter bigger than the pore size can not go into molecular sieve and be excluded (Tab. 1). Moreover, molecular sieve pore size can be precisely adjusted through introducing of different metal ions such as Na+(4A, 13X), K+(3A), Ca+(5A, CaX), Li+(LiLSX, LiLX). This property enables molecular sieve to separate molecules of different size. Another important property of molecular sieve is it is easier to adsorb polar molecules other than non polar molecules, thus makes it possible to separate molecules by its polarity

 

To offer a slightly larger pore opening, calcium is used in an ion exchange to produce Type 5A molecular sieve. A sodium ion is exchanged with the slightly smaller calcium ion, which increases the pore size of the crystal. Type 5A is able to adsorb certain mercaptans while still small enough to block larger hydrocarbons from entering the crystal. These properties allows this molecular sieve to be utilized in LNG and LPG refining to remove sulfur compounds while allowing the desired hydrocarbons to pass through to the product stream. Type 5A is also useful for producing relatively pure streams of hydrogen or oxygen since it is able to adsorb nitrogen, carbon monoxide, and other contaminants.

Scope of application

 

3A molecular sieve: It is mainly used for drying petroleum cracking gas, olefin, gas refinery, oil field gas, and is a desiccant for chemical industry, medicine, insulating glass and other industries.

 

4A molecular sieve: Mainly used for the drying of natural gas and various chemical gases and liquids, refrigerants, medicines, electronic materials and variable substances, argon purification, methane, ethane and propane separation.

 

5A molecular sieve: Main uses:

1. Natural gas drying, desulfurization, and carbon dioxide removal;

2. Separation of nitrogen and oxygen, separation of nitrogen and hydrogen to produce oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen;

3. Petroleum dewaxing, separation of normal hydrocarbons from branched hydrocarbons and cyclic hydrocarbons.

 

13XAPG molecular sieve: Mainly used for the purification of feed gas from large and medium-sized air separation plants.

Product Performance

 

Molecular sieve has strong moisture absorption capacity and is used for gas purification treatment. Avoid direct exposure to the air during storage. Molecular sieves that have been stored for a long time and have absorbed moisture should be regenerated before use. Molecular sieve avoids oil and liquid water. Try to avoid contact with oil and liquid water when in use. The gases to be dried in industrial production include air, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, argon, etc. Two adsorption dryers are used in parallel, one works, and the other can be regenerated. Alternate work and regeneration to ensure continuous operation of the equipment. The dryer works at 8-12°C, and regenerates when heated to 350°C. Different specifications of molecular sieve have slightly different regeneration temperatures. Molecular sieves have a good catalytic effect on certain organic gas phase reactions.

⑸ When used as a carrier, the metal catalyst can be evenly distributed on the inner surface of the molecular sieve, so it is easy to prepare a catalyst with good repeatability.
