Product Description

Zeolite molecular sieve is the hydrate of crystalline aluminosilicate metal salt. After activation of zeolite molecular sieve, water molecules are removed and the remaining atoms form a cage structure. The aperture is 3~10Å. . There are many holes of a certain size in the molecular sieve crystal, and many of the holes are connected with the diameter of the hole (also known as "window "). Molecular sieve is named because it can adsorb molecules smaller than its pore diameter into the interior of the hole, while repels molecules larger than the pore diameter out of its hole, playing the role of screening molecules. Zeolite can exist in nature, artificial large number of synthesis from the 1970s began.

Its general chemical formula is: Mx/m[(AlO2)x·(SiO2)y]·zH2O. M represents a cation, m represents its valence number, z represents the hydration number, and x and y are integers.

 

The demand for using molecular sieves in the natural gas industry has been increased to the great extent due to their higher adsorption ability at the most competitive price. To prevent corrosion, the formation of hydrate and freezing of gas molecules in cryogenic equipment, it is required to remove the impurities in order to supply highly pure natural gas to the processing plants. For natural gas purification/separation, different types of molecular sieves such as 3A, 4A, 5A &13X are used depending on the pore size and molecule diameter.

These molecular sieves in the form of beads and pellets are available to absorb water and other compounds while avoiding the formation of carbon dioxide.3A, 4A, 5A &13X acts as a drying agent that offers highly beneficial and selective adsorption properties to obtain a purified gas. The use of these adsorbents is widely spread for the contaminant separation from natural gas. The mixture of gases or compounds with water is passed through the beads or pellets series of 3A, 4A, 5A &13Xto for the separation due to sieving effect. These molecular sieves are used depending on the molecule diameters, bulk density, crushing strength, static water adsorption as well as water content. For natural gas purification/separation, these adsorbents play a great role in obtaining the desired industrial gas which can be used for various applications.

Basic performance

It has the structure and characteristics of a crystal, the surface is a solid skeleton, and the internal cavities can play the role of adsorbing molecules. There are pores connected to each other between the cavities, and molecules pass through the pores. Due to the clean nature of the pores, the pore size distribution of the molecular sieve is very uniform. Molecular sieves selectively adsorb molecules based on the size of the pores inside their crystals, that is, adsorb molecules of a certain size while repelling molecules of larger substances. Zeolite molecular sieves can be divided into three groups: small pores, mesopores (mesopores) and double pore zeolites according to their pore or channel system.

The adsorption of zeolite molecular sieve has two characteristics:

(1) The Lewis center on the surface is very polar;

(2) The size of the cage or channel in the zeolite is small, which makes the gravitational field strong. Therefore, its adsorption capacity for adsorbate molecules far exceeds other types of adsorbents. Even if the partial pressure (or concentration) of the adsorbate is very low, the adsorption capacity is still considerable. The adsorption and separation effect of zeolite molecular sieve is not only related to the size and shape of adsorbate molecules, but also related to its polarity. Therefore, zeolite molecular sieves can also be used for the separation of substances of similar size.

Storage

Room temperature, relative humidity not greater than 90% indoors: avoid water, acid, alkali, isolate air, and store in airtight.

 

Regeneration

 

Removal of water: dry gas such as nitrogen, air, hydrogen, saturated hydrocarbon, etc. can be used to heat to 150-320℃ and pass into the molecular sieve bed under 0.3-0.5kg/m2 pressure for 3-4 hours, and then to the adsorber Pass in dry cold air for about 2-3 hours, isolate the air and cool to room temperature.

Removal of organic matter: the adsorbate can be replaced from the molecular sieve with water vapor, and then heated to (1). The regeneration can also be regenerated by superheated steam or inert gas at 200-350℃. Exposure to gases that produce explosive mixtures).

The degassed substances can be regenerated by the decompression removal method.
