Product introduction

• 5A Molecular Sieve is an alkali alumina silicate; it is the calcium form of the type 5A crystal structure an effective pore opening of 5 angstroms (0.5nm).

• 5A molecular sieve has high capacity for water, CO2, and H2S.

• 5A molecular sieve functions in adsorbing C3-C4, ethane chloride, ethane bromide, and butanol. It is used in the purification and drying of various gases through pressure swing adsorption in the production of oxygen, hydrogen and air drying.

Molecular formula: 0.70CaO·0.30Na2O·Al2O3·2.0SiO2·4.5H2O

Regeneration
1. Removal of water: it depends on the pressure, temperature and water content of the regeneration gas. Under normal circumstances, the dry gas at 200~350℃ will pass through the molecular sieve bed for 3~4 hours under the pressure of 0.3~0.5kg/cm to bring the outlet temperature to 110~180℃ and cool.
2. Removal of organic matter: replace organic matter with water vapor, and then remove water.

Packed in iron drums, (according to the product model) net weight 125kg, 135kg, 140kg, or according to user needs.

Application

(1) The strong ionic forces of the divalent calcium ion makes it an excellent adsorbent to remove water, CO2, H2S from sour natural gas streams, while minimising COS formation. (2) Light mercaptans are also adsorbed. (3) It is also used for the separation of normal- and iso paraffins. (4) Production of high purity N2, O2, H2 and inert gases from mixed gas streams.
