Product introduction

Commonly used adsorbents include various activated carbon adsorbents and metal and non-metal oxide adsorbents (such as silica gel, alumina, molecular sieve, natural clay, etc.) using carbon as raw materials.

The main indicators to measure the adsorbent are: adsorption capacity for different gas impurities, abrasion rate, loose bulk density, specific surface area, crush strength, etc. It is used to filter out poisonous gas, refine petroleum and vegetable oil, prevent viruses and molds, recover gasoline in natural gas, and decolorize sugar and other colored substances.

The adsorbents commonly used in industry are: silica gel, activated alumina, activated carbon, molecular sieves, etc. In addition, there are adsorption materials developed for selective adsorption of certain components. The success of gas adsorption and separation largely depends on the performance of the adsorbent. Therefore, the choice of adsorbent is the primary issue in determining the adsorption operation.

 

Molecular Sieve 13X is the sodium form of the type X crystal and has a much larger pore opening than the type A crystals. It will adsorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 9 Angstrom (0.9 nm) and exclude those larger.

It also has the highest theoretical capacity of the common adsorbents and very good mass transfer rates. It can remove impurities too large to fit into a type A crystal and is commonly used to separate nitrogen from oxygen.

Molecular sieve has strong moisture absorption capacity and is used for gas purification treatment. Avoid direct exposure to the air during storage. Molecular sieves that have been stored for a long time and have absorbed moisture should be regenerated before use. Molecular sieve avoids oil and liquid water. Try to avoid contact with oil and liquid water when in use. The gases to be dried in industrial production include air, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, argon, etc. Two adsorption dryers are used in parallel, one works, and the other can be regenerated. Alternate work and regeneration to ensure continuous operation of the equipment. The dryer works at 8-12°C, and regenerates when heated to 350°C.
